I travelled to Mykonos with the intention of ticking one thing off my bucket list– jumping into the sea and I did just exactly that on this day! I was super anxious and not because I cannot swim but, it was something I had never done before. The moment I jumped into the Aegan Sea, I felt so liberated and fulfilled. I’ve always loved the water so, it was so much fun for me! I had to do it twice! #DareAngel LOL
We spent the day at the Cyclades / Aegan Sea. We set sail from Tourlos Marina to two different islands – Rhenia Island and Delos Island.
Our first stop was Delos Island which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site so, that was pretty cool to discover. It’s also very historical and if you can, get a tour guide but it’s not absolutely necessary. It costs €12 to get in but if you’re a student, you get in for €6! (You need to present your student I.D to claim this!)
We were there for about an hour and moved on to Rheina Island which was absolutely breathtaking. We swam in the sea for about thirty mins, took a bunch of photos and had lunch while at it! If you can, you should also book with Set Sail – Mykonos. We booked this last minute through our hotel, A Mykonos Hotel.
The cruise hostess, Marion was super pleasant. Loved her! She was very open and a great chef. She made us some yummy pasta and an appetizer to go with it. PS – You can also snorkel here.
The whole cruise lasted 7 hours and trust me, it goes by fast! Super fun! You totally should do this, so worth it. If you have any questions, I am more than happy to answer them in the comments 🙂
Love & Light,
