Oh Puerto Rico! What a tremendous vacation it was. It’s always been a dream to visit at least an island in the Caribbean and when the opportunity presented itself, I jumped on it because.. why not?
I’ve always been intrigued by other people’s culture and the more I travel, the more I feel a part of each culture I get to experience. I think traveling is an essential part of life and I am aware that not many people get to do that. I count myself as blessed and fortunate to have such a rare opportunity and I do not take it for granted. It helps you grow, it helps you learn and it helps you really think about what really matters—love!
Puerto Rico was everything and I’m glad I did not stay at a resort because I got to engage with the locals and not literally stuck in a box.
On the first day, fresh out of the plane, we (my friend, Jasmine and I) sought the adventure of Old San Juan. It was filled with tourists but nevertheless, we got to experience the beautiful colored streets of Old San Juan and we got to sample what is supposedly the most popular local food, Mofongo from a restaurant called Inaru. It was yum and just like kids, we were filled with joy!
Have any of you visited Puerto Rico and how was it? Tell me all about your experiences in the comments! 🙂
