Firstly, forgive me for not having my camera on me this day. The iPhone 6 had to do!
Anyway, being the true foodie that I am, it was highly unacceptable that I had never tried cronuts. So of course, I went to the origin of this priceless gem, The Dominique Ansel Kitchen in Soho, New York City. Basically, a cronut is a croissant and a donut in one… if you can imagine that! Unlike me, if you’re adventurous when it comes to food, then you’re in for a treat because it’s a different flavor each month! I had the August flavor which was the Peach and Bourbon Ganache (with citrus sugar). It was really delicious. The bad part is you can’t exactly store it. They are made to be eaten immediately so indulge all you can!
It’s a long process to get one as it’s not readily available via walk-in but it is well worth it. You have to order each Monday at 11am on here: http://www.cronutpreorder.com/
I am slightly different when it comes to creating experiences and though it’s a process, I was willing to get the experience just to say, I DID THAT and where else would you rather have a cronut, anyway?!
