The Bridge, Lagos
With the rapid growth of the food business / restaurant industry in Nigeria, there’s literally a new “spot” every other week! Sometimes, it’s hype, other times.. it’s not!
The Bridge Lagos is a new spot I found over Christmas, thanks to my family! It’s very lowkey (hidden, not too crowded and it’s still one of Lagos’ best kept secret!)
If you’re looking for a great atmosphere that’s not overpriced, this is it!
I love nature and being outside makes me happy so, naturally.. I was drawn to the idea of The Bridge, Lagos. There are cabanas outside for your convenience. I’ll describe the ambiance as a get together in the garden of your home. They do have seating indoors but I always opt to enjoy the outdoors. I visited a couple of times and each time, I left happy and satisfied. The vibe is great!
My favorite thing on the menu has to be the small chops platter. If you’re non-Nigerian, this is simply just the local saying for “finger foods” that consist of samosas, spring rolls, gizzards, a portion of chicken, fried yam and everything else you want! Another go to has to be the peppered snails. I must warn you, they are extra HOT but they are yummy!
Also, I love the convenience of not having to attend a party to have small chops. If you’re Nigerian, you know what I mean! LOL
If you’re ever in Lagos and looking for a casual spot, you’d love this place! If you don’t… I owe you LOL
P.S they close ‘when the last person leaves!’ How awesome is that?!
